I have a WD By Book Essential 1.5 TB drive from Western Digital. The drive has been acting up for some time now.
I can access the drive but it will not let me open any folder on it.All I keep getting is " Drive not responding" it has been over 10 days since I contacted WD. To this day not one response from them no matter how many emails I send.
I may be the lucky one,I usually also back up very important files to my Seagate 300 GB drive, but there are some files on the WD that I would hate to lose. One is for sure, I will never again purchase a WD drive nor recommend them to any person.
