Rma doesn't work

Update: After a day of beating on all channels... again nothing from WD.So I tried a long shot, reached out to Amazon.

The return period had expired 8 months ago, but I wondered if they had an inside channel to WD.Long story short: "You're a good customer, we'll send a replacement at no charge."Say what you will about Amazon, but they know customer service.

I'm a customer for life.If and when I get my RMA drive back, I'll now have one extra for a hot swap in my 2-bay NAS—so when the next WD fails, at least I'll have data redundancy while I'm wrestling WD. A 5 year warranty...but how many more times will I have to deal with WD support for 3 drives x 5 years?

Last weeks support calls finally delivered an answer: it's broken. We'll send a replacement on Monday.Today is Tuesday, I called twice, chatted once and was told "we're out of replacement stock" Meanwhile WD online store has so much stock, it's been discounted for cyber monday sales!

I even called the store to verify!I'm so over all the lies, what a terribly managed company! 1-2 hrs on hold for every support call, but the store answered in 2 minutes...shows how much they support the customer.

Support on brand new My Passport drive

Just bought a WD 2TB hard drive and I can not get it work. WB wants me to fix a brand new product to work, ridiculous, You cannot get to talk to a human.

My sister had brought the product WD - Easystore 4 TB [WD Serial Number: WXD1EC89SZNV] from Best Buy, US. [Attached is order receipt - WD - Best Buy order receipt (G-SHP-8975-31-****)].

My sister had come to india and due to Covid-19, she was not able to take this product back to U.S. And, the product stopped functioning properly. Due to Covid, we were unable to use the warranty benefits.

I kindly request now to provide your support in providing a replacement.

We are ardent followers of WD products & have brought WD products earlier. And, I also tell my friends & colleagues to use WD products. I kindly request you to provide a replacement for this product. My sister can ship this product to your destination.

Please do acknowledge this request & do support in this. pl do provide the shipping address where in she can ship the product and get a replacement.

I was placing an order for a wd_black sn850 1tb ssd drive, price was $171.99 I added it to cart, went to checkout and price changed to $209, I called them the next day and they just repeat the same thing, whatever the price is thats what it is, then I used chat feature online thinking someone else can help me, and they cant do anything without cart number, I dont have the cart number because it logged me off when I went to pay for it, so when I logged in as quest the price was different, I took a screenshot of the original price online but that doesnt matter to them, what I dont understand is how the price changed while I was checking out, it was one price when I added to cart and during checkout it went up $30, and they wont do anything about it, I felt like I was being cheated and decided not to order it and Im not sticking with wd because if the bad customer service, they obviously care about money than the customers

RMA delay

I bought a Western Digital drive. I barely used it.

Two months later it stopped working. That was OK, it happens. I went to their website and got an RMA. I sent the drive back.

They informed me that they received the drive on September 22nd. I've been waiting until today but nothing has happened.

Today I decided to call their phone number. The first time I took the option to chat. I connected with their chat via mobile phone and waited for a reply.

I was cut off. Strike 1

Next I called again and asked to talk with a person. The system then asked if I was asking about an RMA. I pressed yes.

Then it asked me to enter the RMA number which I did. It told me that it was an invalid RMA number and would do nothing else. Eventually it hung up on me. Strike 2

Finally I went through their cumbersome process and got a person on the phone.

I explained the situation. He looked into it and told me I would have to wait. I asked how long. He said he had no way to find out.

Really? Strike 3

Well I tried again with him. Isn't this ridiculous? You owe me a drive, you say you will send one...some day, but you can't even give me an estimate?

Next week? Next year? Next century? Nope, nothing.

He went to talk with his supervisor. He came back with the same answer.

Dont Buy Western Digital products!!! I have a MyCloud Home defected and return twice and returned has reused! And had to pay to return it!! The second Time i lost all my data on WD Products because they dont recover data! DONT BUY!!!

Device returned for warranty replacement. Can’t get device sent to me

Bought Mypassport for Mac April 2021. Sent for warranty service July 27. Its September 9 and was told today that (After 13 emails and one phone call) that please be informed that we are not shipping any drives as of now. All the shipments are on hold until further notice. You will receive a notification email as soon as the drive is shipped.

I have been waiting since August 1st to receive a package from Western Digital, they said they just received the return package on the 10th of October, so I'm still waiting on my return, that's why I'm still pissed. But hopefully it'll be over soon.

HORRIBLE customer service on WD products. Never will I purchase or recommend WD products. I purchased a WD My Book Live and now will not connect to my computer. Was told theres a security issue and theres nothing they can do. This is nice to know, right. There customer service #, if you understand it, please let me know.

Passport keeps deleting files

I have saved my music onto my WD 2T passport and seems every once in awhile am finding my files removed and unable to find them! Since I purchase all my music this is a big problem when doing shows and not able to play them because passport deleted them! I have no idea why this happens, and truly hope you can help me resolve this issue with the passport! Thanks

I bought a WD product a month ago and I've contacted WD 3 times and they wouldn't be able to help me with my situation. They also charged my account when I purchased the product and literally on the USPS tracking number, it says it has never been sent out. This is a bunch of bs.

I bought an SSD external hard drive from western digital online store. It was defective. Over heating Alamo burned my hand. I called their customer service in India. I was on hold for 4 hours at the end they didnt do anything. I created a return label to blind so I can ship it to them. Took to ups to drop your it off. They refused to take it because its considered hazardous material. The drive is extremely hot and not safe to keep. Now Im screwed.
